Our Approach to Guitar
Every guitar teacher on the Family Music Centers team is degree verified and background checked, then hired directly by us rather than brought in through an outside agency. That means real range, from classical and jazz theory to rock, blues and contemporary styles, so it's easier to find someone whose teaching style actually fits how you or your child learns best.
Our guitar lessons happen in person at our Las Vegas studio, where we've been teaching since 1995. Students track real progress through our Milestone Program and get to perform at recitals throughout the year, so learning the guitar always feels like it's building toward something.

Kids Guitar Lessons
Foundational chords, strumming and technique taught through songs and creative exploration, with real recitals and Milestone Program certificates to keep young students motivated.
Beginner Guitar Lessons
No experience needed. Whether you're four years old or forty, our teachers meet you exactly where you are and build confidence one chord at a time.
Adult Guitar Lessons

Guitar, Woodwinds & Uke
Performs with the Henderson Symphony and Las Vegas Symphony, holds a UNLV music degree and graduate degree in clarinet performance, and has taught at Family Music Centers since 1995.
Jack Lavine

Teaches guitar and bass with a strong foundation in musicianship and music theory, bringing active Las Vegas performance experience into every lesson.
