Our Approach to Private String Lessons
String lessons at our Centennial Hills studio are private, in-person instruction from teachers who are degree verified, background checked and employed directly by Family Music Centers. Our string faculty here includes conservatory trained performers with symphony, opera and youth orchestra experience, so violin, viola and cello students build solid bowing, posture and intonation, while bass students develop timing, groove and reading on upright or electric bass.
Lessons take place at our Centennial Hills studio, 7280 W. Azure Dr, at W. Azure Dr and Tenaya. Since 1995, Family Music Centers has taught more than 1.8 million lessons across the Las Vegas valley. String students track their progress through our Milestone Program and perform at recitals throughout the year, and if you need an instrument for practice at home, take a look at our string instrument rentals.

Meet Our Centennial Hills String Teachers
Every violin, viola, cello and bass teacher at our W. Azure Dr studio is degree verified and background checked.
A former Fairfield University faculty member who has toured Italy and Germany and performed with the Israel Pops.
Minored in violin at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory and has performed as a violinist in churches, concert halls and major events.
Leads the Las Vegas Youth Orchestra and the Southern Nevada Chamber Orchestra and teaches at UNLV, CSN and Palo Verde High School.
Has taught private lessons since 2004 and joined Family Music in 2011, where he serves as Education Director.
Performed in rock bands and led a jazz trio by age 15, then toured and recorded with L.A. bands from 1967 to 1979.
